Corruption thrives in the shadows. We expose abuses of power and hold public officials accountable through public records and investigations requests and litigation that demands the government transparency the American public deserves.
We have challenged some of the most significant abuses of power in government. Our litigation against DOGE and Elon Musk contributed to his departure and the department’s closure; we secured an injunction blocking the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) from sharing Americans’ personal data with DOGE and obtained a preliminary injunction and class certification to challenge the unlawful shutdown of USAID. We have filed numerous FOIA requests and lawsuits seeking the release of the Trump-Epstein files; we exposed the ethical and constitutional questions regarding Trump’s acceptance of a $400 million Qatari jet; we called for an investigation into Apple’s CEO over a potentially illegal gold gift given to the president; and we filed litigation to halt the unlawful Trump-DOJ $1.8 billion partisan slush fund.
We also fight to ensure the government serves the public. During the 2025 government shutdown, we called on the U.S. Department of Agriculture to release billions of dollars in funding for SNAP benefits.
